Established in 2006, American Mobile Kitchens has its roots in decades of mobile catering. Owner and President David Craig spent 20 years working as a caterer before turning his attention to creating mobile kitchens himself—the kind he'd always wanted to use during his time in iternant food services.

Today, American Mobile Kitchens operates with six full time staff and staging facilities in South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas, and through our strategic partners, also have trailers available in Maryland and California.  The company has the knowledge and logistical capabilities to provide both interim and permanent foodservice solutions across the U.S.

Protocol is also in place with AMK’s sister company, Mobile Kitchens Canada, to provide 24-hour response to emergency relief efforts anywhere in North America. We have the experience and practical capabilities to quickly and effectively mobilize equipment, products, staff, and resources. At the heart of our business is a desire to help; to do better for a better world.

Over the years, we have been involved in numerous projects in areas ranging from major health care, disaster management, and sporting events including the 2010 Olympics, Rose Bowl and Pan Am Games. Recently, we’ve also worked in Argentia and Chile, providing project management consulting services and supplying and installing kitchen units for a global mining company.

Our Process is the Difference

We don’t deal in generalizations. Part of our outstanding client rapport and continued success resides in the fact that we know every project is unique, and we treat it as such. In addition to doing on-site surveys to evaluate each client's needs, we prepare a recommended operational food service plan, and liaise with health, fire, and building departments to ensure compliance with all state and local codes. Following delivery, we assist contractors in the installation of the units. Expedient, low-cost installation can be expected, with a solid planning model and site readiness for electrical connections, water and waste.
